Lymm, Cheshire
To create a new space within a generously sized garden of a family home in Cheshire. The Nook Room is intended both for the clients to use as a home gym but also to accommodate enough space for the kids to enjoy, while making use of the garden in the summer months.
Sat within a young, manicured garden, the Nook had to make a strong impression, it had to bring an air of modernity to an otherwise fairly traditional setting. Our trademark charred cladding contrasts starkly with the white stone render of the main property. The floor to ceiling glazing brings in all the light while a mirrored internal wall allows for the landscape of the garden to be brought inside.
Alongside the Nook we designed and constructed various Pergolas to frame sections of the garden. These details brought structure and height to areas, they elevated corners of the young garden that would otherwise have been overlooked.
